BIOGRAPHY:
Founded in 1929, HC Plzeň competes in the Czech Extraliga, the highest-level ice hockey league in the Czech Republic. This storied franchise recently brought back its most famous Pilsen pupil, Martin Straka, helping the club to achieve an impressive 4th place finish in the ultra-competitive Czech Extraleague 2009.
