The LA Galaxy is an American Soccer Club based in Los Angeles, Calif. In 1995, the LA Galaxy became one of the ten founding franchises of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club won the MLS Cup in 2002 and 2005 and the U.S. Open Cup in 2001 and 2005. The LA Galaxy, which plays home matches at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., signed superstar David Beckham in 2007.
